The Best Adaptation Of A Star Is Born?

A Star Is Born (2018) tells the story of Jackson Maine, Played by Bradley Cooper (Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol1+2, American Sniper), who is a country rock singer who struggles with drug and alcohol addiction, until he meets Ally Campana, Played by Lady Gaga (Sin City, Muppets Most Wanted). The two find a compassion and love in each other and how Jackson helps Ally become a massive music star whilst the world forgets about him, struggling with mental health along the way.
The film is Written, Produced and Directed by Bradley Cooper and is his directorial debut, and what a way to kick start your directorial debut in the most perfect and heartbreaking way!!!.

The Film....
The film for me is the more accurate representation I’ve ever watched on screen taking about Mental Health, it tells it in such a humane way whilst not shying away for how bad it can get. It shows us how serious alcohol and drug addiction can get and the lengths people will go to take them to get away from there problems. It’s honestly heartbreaking to watch someone who has all this fame and wealth in the world and yet still not be completely happy.
From the moment the film starts to the moment it ends, it captivates you with its scenic backdrops to the glitz’s and glimmer of being on stage. It truly captured the theme of the film perfectly whilst also making us feel apart of Jackson and Ally’s life.
It paces itself wonderfully and there isn’t a moment that passes by where I want this film to end. In fact I wanted more from it by the time it finishes but I’m glad they used what they did because everything fits so perfectly and that’s what extra’s are for on DVD & Blu-Ray.

The Cast....
I want to start this off by praising the two leads, Bradley Cooper & Lady Gaga. Thank you both for putting in some of the best acting I have ever witnessed from a love duo in a film.
Bradley Cooper for me gives his career defining role and performance in this film, he shows such a vulnerable and emotional side I have never seen Cooper that shows a character with so much hurt and vulnerability to him to the point I felt so much hurt and heartbreak for him.
Lady Gaga on the other hand gives her defining role and performance in this film too. Now she hasn’t acted too much, with this being the most serious role she’s taken on, she absolutely killed it and I want to see more from Gaga in the future of acting. She has a natural talent for it as well as singing and if she ever gets the chance to work with Bradley Cooper again I would love to see that, he really does bring out the best in her ability’s.

To Conclude....
Mixing mental health (in particular men’s) and alcohol and drug addition with the fame and fortune of being a massive star, A Star Is Born (2018) was the Best Film of 2018 and it will forever be my favourite adaptation of A Star Is Born and will forever be in my Top 10 Films of All Time. If you haven’t seen this film yet then please get on it as soon as possible.
